I know, i know…we’re a bunch of “dirty hippies” (thats what alot of the Occupyists are being painted as in mass media). I will continue to embrace that hippie moniker if it means enacting/moving towards some sort of change. The world is dying and so much can be done to shape our last hundred or so years, including us all learning to be kinder to one another and not using money as means to value/devalue someone, something or things that are important to one another.

With my modeling, I have been wanting to explore a similar type of image. However, for me, it requires being brave enough to go under the airbrush in the first place (it makes me uneasy), which is something I never allow in my modeling. Britney finally steps up to the plate and addresses the issue. It needs to be done. good job britney. it’s nice to see someone doing something nice with their fame. don’t get me wrong, as a designer, airbrushing and retouching makes things nice and gets people to buy things and want things. however, only adults, and not all of them, are capable of realizing that in order to make you want something, they wrap it up nicely. when you expose children to that same manipulation, it distorts their reality completely because they don’t have the skills to see what is and isn’t real.
